My friend Donald got me “Avengers: The Children’s Crusade” in trade paperback for my birthday, and it left me super inspired.
I love the Scarlet Witch so much. As a kid, she was one of my top three fave Marvel characters (she still is, in fact), and I went NUTS in the 80’s when Marvel Comics released the 12-part Vision and the Scarlet Witch mini series.
I haven’t always loved the direction Wanda was written in, but “The Children’s Crusade” was a really great read, and in my mind, it made up for the things and story points that I sort of felt “betrayed” the character in recent history. Yup. Like I said… INSPIRED! So I drew this image of her.
This character is beautiful, elegant and as powerful as they come. She’s a brilliant heroine, and I think one of the most complex characters in the Marvel Universe. I hope I managed to capture a little of that in my drawing. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the SCARLET WITCH, Fillion-style!! Enjoy! XOXO 😉
