The TRUE Borg Queen – Seven of Nine

Hi Gang…

Hope everyone’s doing GREAT! Today, I give you my fan art of SEVEN OF NINE. She’s Part of my “Queens of Sci-Fi” series — entry #3 of Wave #3. She’s been done for a little while now, but I just FINALLY got around to posting her! LOL!

I loved VOYAGER and Seven is the “true” Borg Queen in my mind. The relationship this character had with Captain Janeway was always such a source of joy to watch. At times they were at odds, but more often than not there was a real sense of “mother/daughter” love at play which I loved. Jeri Ryan is such a beautiful woman and she’s very talented. She brought Seven to life with an icy coolness that was absolute perfection!

She was so much fun to draw, and making variants was a blast! I really should do a Silver costume variant at some point too. Enjoy!!

Finally, some one else who loved “ST: Voyager” as much as I did!!! “-) And that it just happens to be you, a man whose art work I have been in love with for years, just makes it that much better. I have been a die-hard Trekker Geek since the very beginning, and of all the ST shows, “Voyager” was my favorite. I loved the characters, and was very excited when they announced Kate Mulgrew was the Captain, as I have loved her since “Ryan’s Hope”.

    I felt the show only got better once Jeri Ryan was introduced as Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01. I, too, loved the Mother/Daughter Hierarchy created by these two incredible actress’ during the show’s progression. Of course, my all-time favorite ST:V episodes involved Katherine Janeway, 7 of 9, and the Borg Queen, played so exquisitely by Susanna Thompson, except for the Series Finale where the Borg Queen was played by Alice Krieg, who originated the Borg Queen persona in ST:TNG, FC. See, told you I was a total ST Geek ‘-]

    Thanks for reaffirming what I’ve always known, which is ST:V was a truly well crafted, well scripted, and well acted show, regardless of what everybody else in the ST Community say’s “-)

  3. Was it wrong of me to think you were going to do a genderswapped version and call him Seven by Nine? 😉
