Happy Friday, my friends…
I’ve been meaning to post this illustration of ZODAC from the Masters of the Universes for a bit now. Again, he was drawn and inked by hand, and colored using Photoshop and my trusty new WACOM tablet. SUCH FUN to work with that thing! Anyway, I drew ZODAC because he’s a sexy, hairy cosmic daddy, and I really wanted to try drawing body hair using the Wacom. It turns out that drawing body hair directly in Photoshop is a HUGE time saver compared to drawing it on paper. So YAY ZODAC!
I workin’ up quite a fun little collection of Masters of the Universe Busts… and yes, I have others in mind. I’m thinking I’ll tackle a certain Lord of Evil sometime down the road… but for now I leave you with this sexy cosmic defender. Zodac’s one of my all-time FAVE MOTU characters, and this illustration was crazy-fun to draw. Enjoy!! 😉

What I see here is that drawing body hair like this isn`t just a big time saver, but you also managed to do lots of different hair types. It looks great that his inner chest region has thicker hair than the rest of it.
Also I love that shiny skin effect you give the characters since some time now, love it!
And thanks for the hairless version once again, it`s really appreciated!
I can`t wait for you to draw Skeletor one day, that guy is without a doubt the sexiest character of the series for me. I don`t really feel like putting you in a rush to do him, I`m just happy that he will some day appear on your site 🙂
