Hmmm… I see a trend developing here. “SCI-FI HEROINES” anyone?
Truth is I started this illustration of Princess Leia Organa in HOTH Gear before the one I drew of Doctor Crusher, but somehow, the finishing order got reversed, and Beverly was done first! LOL! Regardless, this image of Leia was such a blast to draw, and I’m especially pleased with the color holds on her outfit… They give her a cool sort of “graphic” look.
Leia is probably my first, dearest heroine (with STORM being a VERY close second!). I was first introduced to her when I was just 4 years old, and it was pretty much love at first sight. She’s tough as nails, takes crap from no one, and at the same time she has a beauty and vulnerability that I truly admire. As for the woman who portrayed her, the truly MAGNIFICENT Carrie Fisher… what more can I say? The woman is a Goddess! Hilarious, humble and full of beautiful quirks that make her a total joy to read, watch and listen to.

While I think my favorite Leia look is the Bespin Cloud City gown — OH so pretty — I love to draw her in her stark white costumes. There’s something about the contrast I quite like.
So it looks like I’ve got the beginnings of a series here… “SCI-FI HEROINES”… oh so many wonderful queens of science fiction to choose from. I’ll have to draw a few more in between my Class Comics work. Stay tooned, and enjoy Leia! 😀
Hugz + kisses, Patrick XOXOX

I’ve never been a huge Star Wars fan… regardless, I think I’m going to enjoy this series. A lot.
Speaking of which, is there a chance of seeing Princess Vespa and Dot Matrix somewhere down the line? 😉
? Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen… ?
I love your art!!! I’m a big fan of sdi-fi!
If you need suggestions: Seven of 9 of Star Trek: Voyager, Maya of Space: 1999, Aeryn Sun of Farscape,…
