Sneak Peek at Space Cadet #1 cover

Hiya folks…

Wow! 2010 is shaping up to be a terrific year and it has really kept me busy so far.  No complaints though!  The projects I’ve been working on have all been a ton of great fun! I’ve got some really cool stuff coming up for you guys shortly!

Today I want to share a little sneak peek with you all.  Here is the official cover to Space Cadet #1.  Space Cadet is one of my favorite creations, and I’ve really been looking forward to releasing his book.  I wrote the issue and Bob, a fantastic new artist to Class Comics drew the interior art.

I personally wanted to be involved artistically in the project at least a bit, so along with writing the series, I am drawing the covers.

The cover to issue #1 features Byron, the heroic Space Cadet in the palms of the evil Baron Von Phallus.  Some of you good people will recognize the Baron from Naked Justice #1.  He’s back in this series as the main baddie.  Lemme tell you, he and his henchmen are gonna give Space Cadet and his pals a run for their money.

Look for Space Cadet #1 in the first quarter of 2010.  In the meantime, enjoy the cover!

    Wonderful ! I wonder if I’ve ever loved more an illustration of you ! I love the contrast between the old-school style of the villain, just like in the good old years of Flash Gordon, and the oh so hot and modern Fillionesque pose of Space Cadet ; love the sci-fi blue reflections on the bad guy and the warm tones of the good guy. Oh, and those creepy hands. I just can’t wait to see what Bob did !

    -Oh, with the blue sparkles and the big P your signature reminds a bit of Walt Disney’s if you don’t pay attention ! ^^-

    Awww… thanks so very much for the truly sweet comment and kind compliments on this cover. You know it really means a lot to me! :) I am so thrilled you enjoyed it. I think you will also really love what Bob has done with the interior art. His work is so wonderful — very dynamic and extremely sexy. I’ll be posting a few samples shortly over on my Boytoons Magazine blog… so stay tooned! :)

    Omg I love the cover, the drawing is so hot I am so glad you put different kind of men & I am your biggest buggest fan.

    Believe it or not I am trying to look like these guys but the hard part is the big penis lol

    Thanks so much for the kind compliments. I am thrilled you enjoyed the Space Cadet cover. I had a great time putting it together. I wish ya all the best of luck with your physical training… and as for the penis, well just remember, I don’t think penises the size I draw them actually exist on any real human males! LOL! :o

    OMG Love it, cant wait for it to hit Aussieland. Space cadet has been my favourite character for a while (next to Locus of course ;) and I have to say, the whole spaceman idea just gives me the chills. Anti-gravity action would be just great, and the Baron looks truly evil in this cover.

    Keep up the good work, and your an inspiration to a gay artist like myself!

    Thanks so very much for taking the time to write. It’s hugely appreciated. I’m totally smitten with Space Cadet, so it’s always awesome hearing from his fans too. I think you’ll enjoy his book. It was a great deal of fun to write, and Bob Grey did a superb job on the art. I drew the cover and three other pieces for the book as well. It’s coming out very soon!
