Work on Boytoon Adventures #1 is almost complete, and I couldn’t be more proud of the final result. A whopping 75 pages later and I don’t think I’ve ever motored quite like this on any other project in my entire career as a comic book artist! I’ve probably also never had this much fun on a comic before! Go fig!
Currently, I’m working at wrapping up an Initiation short story for the book called The Match. I’m so thrilled to work on this story because Robert Fraser wrote it. As you know Fraser is the creator of the Initiation series and he and I have never had the opportunity to collaborate as writer and artist on a project before now.
We’re having a lot of fun, and the Match is a great little story starring Zack, that naughty pledge master form the Initiation #1. He was my fave character from the book and I’ve enjoyed drawing him a great deal. It also introduces a couple of new hotties that I think you’ll enjoy a great deal!
Colorist Dennis Kovalenko is in the middle of coloring the pages from this story, and the first few I’ve gotten back are simply breathtaking. He’s doing a terrific job at nailing the colors exactly as I want them.
The Match is the only story in the book that wasn’t written by yours truly!

I just read the story and to be honest, I didn’t like it much. The art work was awesome but the story wasn’t…satisfactory. Just my personal taste but I the story left me with a bad feeling. I mean they drug him, cheat, and get away with it and just shame him? It just seems weak and “2d” to me (no pun intended) to me. Like, even though it’s different, the whole villain/anti-hero winning against a villain by dishonorable means is kinda bland and it doesn’t make the story any better to me. Like leaving on a cliffhanger. I think it’d be awesome if there was a fair rematch or wade found out and they fought it out or there was a new pledge master who beat zack and both zack and Wade rejoined or something. Just to make the story more 3d. Just my constructive criticism.
I still feel bad for Wade? You please do a sequel! And i love yur work!
